From the moment you arrive you know you are in safe hands. Liz is warm, welcoming, professional, encouraging and above all, brilliant at baking. She made my 15 year old nephew feel just as welcme as the other 4 adults on the course, all of us beginners. You leave with a bag (and tummy) full of warm loaves and rolls, feeling inspired and ready to show off to friends and family. She even shows you how to make butter. We loved it. Thank you Liz. Really excellent day-long sourdough class in Liz’s Fulham home. In fact, we did a wide range of breads (rye, white sourdough, focaccia, crackers…), all with a rye sourdough starter. We covered a lot and the class was both thorough and well-organised. I was surprised that we didn’t spend all our time kneading - just a bit of pulling and tucking - which meant we could cover lots and learn other skills too. We left with a full bag of bread, which has gone down a treat - especially the amazing focaccia - not to be missed!

Just done the basic breadmaking course with Liz Wilson which I got as a gift from my wife. It’s really well paced so it works for total novices but also people who have tinkered before. Afterwards I realised I’ve had a go a quite a few breads over the years but still learnt enough in the first hour to make the whole thing worthwhile. Lots of tea and coffee breaks to allow for rising and a lovely lunch with her bread and crackers.
Then the classic sign of a former educator – a summary of the whole lesson at the end of the day! With more tea and biscuits. As well as taking away everything you make recipe sheets of everything are provided with all the little hints and tips included.
All in all highly recommended if you want to learn to bake your own.

Today we learned how to make sourdough, dark rye bread, crackers, pain rustique, challah and focaccia. We were fed well for lunch and Liz really is a top class teacher.
Small classes for the Sourdough course mean there is time for questions and adjusting the pace for a range of prior knowledge.
I cannot recommend this highly enough if you want to be able to release yourself from the tyranny of the Chorleywood process (google it if you do not know what I am talking about ).

Liz was great! She was very calm and took you through everything in detail, making everything seem easy. We made a variety of different breads and came home with enough to feed a small army!
Also lunch was provided was which was great.
I highly recommend doing this
