I was given a one day sourdough course with Ma Baker for Christmas and having tried with varying success to make my own bread I can only say that 6 hours with Liz was absolutely fantastic! She was patient, very knowledgeable and a great teacher and the bread I made and brought home my family thought was incredible - and I feel confident that my bread making will be 1000% better from now on. Fabulous class! Liz is an excellent teacher and runs the class so smoothly. I can’t beleive I walked away with 5 loaves of bread which looked like a professional had made them. We also learnt so many tips and tricks which will come in handy. I’m already looking into signing up to another class of liz’s.

Liz is a brilliant teacher and has completely mastered the balance between making her bread making classes accessible to novice bakers (like me) while also having enough to also satisfy those who arrive with a basic or intermediary level of experience. Leaving with a HUGE bag of bread each, I was amazed at the sheer quantity of recipes and techniques that we got through within the 4hr class. I would strongly recommend her sessions to those interested in knowing more about baking. As well as creating a very welcoming and informal atmosphere which similar ‘How to’ classes can struggle with, Liz peppers every conversation with genuinely useful, insightful facts and tips on bread (and butter!) that highlight the depth of her passion and expertise . 10/10.

What a great day! Liz is the Yoda of the bread world, what she doesn’t know about bread cannot be found in this universe. She used her Jedi tricks to make me bake a couple of loaves and some buns, plus some tomato focaccia - all of which tasted amazing! Somehow all this info has stuck and I make them all at home now - and remember, this is a guy who has never baked anything in his life! for a great few hours learning the skills, Liz’s course is the only one to book - all others are just cheap imitations.
